Having to downgrade jib version for jenkins build

Using jenkins box in build.cde.mgw.leidos.com, builds running a docker agent using jib 2.8.0 are failing with the following exception:
08:27:07 * What went wrong: 08:27:07 Execution failed for task ':jibDockerBuild'. 08:27:07 > java.io.IOException: Failed to open or parse global Jib config file; see https://github.com/GoogleContainerTools/jib/blob/global-config-doc/docs/faq.md#where-is-the-global-jib-configuration-file-and-how-i-can-configure-it to fix or you may need to delete ?/.config/google-cloud-tools-java/jib/config.json

Downgrading the jib gradle plugin version to 2.7.1 has resolved that issue. Perhaps it is because the mgw jenkins box is outdated, but wanted to report here to see if there had been any other behavior like this in the leaf ecosystem

Ah. It looks like the home directory isn’t being evaluated correctly. This is likely due to an issue with the user account on the docker agent. Are you using the jenkins-shared-library? If so, what revision?

we are using jsl and it is pointed to master.

Ok. Using the home dir must be a new feature of the newer jib. Will dig into it and get back to you soon.
